This time, almost 20,000 visitors came to the venue, 6% more than the previous show. And as usual the public was really international, with business-men and buyers from as many as 87 different countries.

Most of the visitors who came to our stand were interested in the innovative machines for laboratories and production plants proposed by COMEC. But above all, they were eager to see the results obtained by the latest systems installed in the factories of important paint and adhesive manufacturers from all parts of Europe. “For us, it was a great advantage in business terms to be able to show film clips of our latest installations in our actual stand,” explained COMEC’s sales manager Gianrico Ughetti. “Owing to their technical skills, our guests were truly able to appreciate our ability to provide custom-made technological versions of the individual machines on show, to suit our customers’ production requirements. And the imposing size of our new 3,000 liter capacity MD COMEC disperser was certainly unable to go unnoticed. I believe that the European Coatings Show is the ideal venue for exhibiting the latest innovations, as the public stands out for its excellent technical competence. Moreover, there are optimum chances of concluding business affairs during the actual fair itself, something that also occurred this time. Over 60% of the visitors is made up of entrepreneurs, technicians and researchers who work for companies that manufacture paint, coatings, adhesives and inks: decision-makers or people able to influence purchasing decisions. Particular interest was also aroused by COMEC’s new web service for on-line requests for estimates. For the past few months, we’ve noticed that more and more manufacturers are visiting our web site, people who are particularly eager to configure an ideal machine and receive a customized quotation.”
